Critical
Incident Stress Management-Basic, (CISM-B)
The two day Basic Team Building Seminar is a
dynamic experience in the world of Emergency Services. The
graphic nature of the work itself is portrayed through video and
slides, as well as the after effects that one might normally
experience following a traumatic event. This course prepares
mental health professionals and peer support personnel to deal with,
and provided services before, during, and after a critical incident.
Utilizing Dr. Jeffrey Mitchell's intervention strategies which have
been proven to accelerate the recovery of normal people having
expected reactions to a traumatic event.
This two day Basic CISM training is recognized by the International
Critical Incident Stress Foundation and is open to any person who
wishes to know more about crisis intervention strategies for
emergency personnel. Emergency service personnel and mental
health professionals are typical participants.
